An Epigraph

This exhibition is a tribute to the memory of the great scholarly work of the archeologist Gordana Cvetković Tomašević (1928-2003) who excavated, among other sites, the site were the National Library was burnt down in the April war of 1941 and found at the same location ancient Singidunum with a unique pavement mosaic. Furthermore, the discovery of 13 pavement mosaics and the interpretation of one of them at Heraclea near Bitola present the crown of her life work. This project encircled works of 21 artists.
